MERRILLVILLE, IN—White Lodging, headquartered here, has named Pete Sams as full service regional vice president. Sams’ region will be identified when he joins White Lodging in early August.
After serving in the U.S. Army, Sams began his career in hospitality as a restaurant server at the Omni Corpus Christi while finishing his college education, which launched his more than 20-year career with Omni Hotels. He initially held positions in finance discipline, including leadership roles as area director of finance for Omni Hotels.
In 2004, Sams transitioned to operations and returned to the Omni Corpus Christi, where he was director of operations for the 821-room, two-tower property. In 2006, he was named GM of the Omni Richmond. In 2010, Sams led the 836-room Omni Shoreham in Washington, DC.
Sams stated, “White Lodging is a company with a sterling reputation for excellence and I am proud to now be a member of our growing family. There is a clear and ambitious vision for unprecedented growth in the immediate future. I could not be more excited to be joining this incredible team and I look forward to bringing value and impact to the organization as we garner future success together.”
