Meliá Hotels International Names New Regional Director of Group Sales for Global Collection

MIAMI—Meliá Hotels International has hired Brandi Ronk as director of group sales for its global collection of hotels and resorts, including Gran Melia, Melia, ME by Melia, Paradisus, Innside, Tryp and Sol Hotels.
Ronk will oversee groups, meetings, incentive sales and conventions as well as maintaining client relationships for Melia’s national accounts. She will be responsible for the regions of Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Ohio.
Ronk has been in the industry since 1997 and has spent the last 15 years with American Express & Maritz Travel. Since 2009, she served as director of operations for Maritz Travel focusing on global clients and meetings.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
