Lawrence Appointed Business Development Manager of Kane Hospitality

ELKRIDGE, MD—Kane Hospitality, Inc. has hired Kevin Lawrence as its business development manager.
Lawrence is formally with Starwood Hotels, including the Westin and Sheraton brands. In his new role, he will focus on building the company brand and service offerings throughout the United States. He will be based in California and will report to Rob Granville, president of Kane 3PL and Kane Hospitality.
Most recently, Lawrence served as operational project manager for more than seven years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. The new business development manager possesses more than 15 years of hospitality experience. He began his career working of a local off premise caterer in San Diego in sales. Then, he moved to hotel sales and operations, working with Noble House Hotels & Resorts for three years.
Ron Meliker, president of The Kane Company, said in a statement, “Kevin is a talented and experienced sales professional and we are delighted to add him to our Kane Hospitality business. We have known Kevin for years as he was our customer on many Starwood projects. He s a welcome addition to the Kane Company team.”

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
