ATLANTA—Hotel Equities recently promoted Elizabeth Derby to the newly created position of VP of Talent and Administration.
In a role critical to the firm’s growth, Derby has oversight and responsibility for recruitment, selection, onboarding and retention of talent for the firm. She coordinates new hotel openings, transitions and acquisitions in regard to staffing, manages vendor relationships, analyzes data and trends to support company growth and coordinates long-range planning.
“With her extensive hospitality experience, Elizabeth sees the big picture for our firm and she has the administrative skills to keep us and our strong deal growth on track,” stated Fred Cerrone, president and CEO of Hotel Equities. “Combine that with her passion for developing people and she is a perfect fit for this key position.”
Derby has spent more than 30 years in the hospitality industry. She joined Hotel Equities 16 years ago as the firm’s first director of sales and marketing and helped grow the portfolio from four hotels in Atlanta to more than 50 properties in seven states from Pennsylvania to Louisiana.
