NEW ORLEANS—Larry Daniels has been promoted to Regional VP of operations for HRI Lodging (HRIL), based here.
Daniels, who previously served as VP and general manager for HRIL, will now be tasked with overseeing some 13 branded hotels, including the Hyatt French Quarter, Hyatt Place New Orleans/Convention Center, Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans French Quarter/CBD, Federal City Inn & Suites, Algiers, LA and Hilton Garden Inn Baton Rouge Airport, among others.
“Under Larry’s leadership, the Carey Watermark portfolio experienced significant growth in both market share and profitability, and at the same time enriched the guest and associate experience,” said President Gary Gutierrez. “We are confident that Larry’s skills will bring the same results to our entire portfolio in his expanded responsibilities."
Daniels joined HRI Lodging in September 2011 as general manager of the Chateau Bourbon. He led the property through a $20-million renovation and conversion to a Four Diamond-rated Hyatt French Quarter on time and within budget, earning HRI Lodging the "Best Conversion" award from Hyatt Hotels Corporation, the company added.
