BETHESDA, MD—LaSalle Hotel Properties has promoted Ian Gaum to Chief Investment Officer.
Gaum has served as SVP of acquisitions of the company since July 2007 and was VP of asset management from July 1998 through June 2007. Prior to joining LaSalle Hotel Properties, Gaum worked in asset management with VMS Realty and Stone Levy Advisors.
“Ian joined LaSalle Hotel Properties shortly after its IPO and has been instrumental in the execution of our business plan during that entire period, both in asset management and acquisitions. He has successfully led our acquisitions efforts for the last several years, is well known and respected throughout the US lodging industry and is a valued member of the leadership team at LaSalle,” stated Michael D. Barnello, president and CEO of LaSalle Hotel Properties.
As Chief Investment Officer, Gaum will continue to oversee all acquisition, disposition and risk management functions of the company.
