HVS Selected to Design Hyatt Place in Southwest DC

WASHINGTON, D.C.—HVS Design has been selected to provide interior design services for the new-build Hyatt Place in Southwest Washington, D.C.
The hotel will feature 214 guestrooms and custom-designed public areas. The hotel is part of a mixed-use development and will sit on top of a new fire station at 400 E Street, SW. E Street Development Group LLC owns the Hyatt Place.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China. In what could only be seen as good news for the industry, that expectation moved a little closer to reality when President Obama signed a visa waiver extension for Chinese travelers earlier this month.
