THINC Conference to Debut in Chicago this May

CHICAGO—Organizers of The Hotel Investment Networking Conference (THINC) revealed the event will take place at the Hilton Chicago from May 15-16.
Co-hosts for the event are DePaul University School of Hospitality Leadership and Lodging Unlimited, a hospitality consulting company. Morris Lasky is co-chair and founder of the event. A new website, think-conference.com, has also been launched and allows interested parties to register for the conference and sponsorships and to access additional information regarding the conference.
In addition to a series of in-depth discussions with top hotel power players, topics will include "Creating a Hotel Portfolio," "Debt & Equity Finance Options," "Economic Indicators & Valuation Parameters," and "Branding Strategies & the Franchise Agreement."

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China. In what could only be seen as good news for the industry, that expectation moved a little closer to reality when President Obama signed a visa waiver extension for Chinese travelers earlier this month.
