Wyndham Brings Two More Brands to Middle East

PARSIPPANY, NJ—Wyndham Hotel Group has inked deals enabling its Super 8 and Wyndham Garden brands to make their entry into the Middle East.
In Saudi Arabia, the company is opening the Super 8 Riyadh, which is the first hotel to open as part of a master development agreement with Saudi Automotive Services Company (SASCO) for 20 Super 8 hotels in Saudi Arabia over a five-year period.
In Qatar, the company unveiled plans for the Wyndham Garden Doha, following the signing of a management agreement with Nassir Al Siddiqi. The hotel is expected to open in 2017.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China. In what could only be seen as good news for the industry, that expectation moved a little closer to reality when President Obama signed a visa waiver extension for Chinese travelers earlier this month.
