AVON, CO—The Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain added a physical therapy clinic via Howard Head Sports Medicine.
Physical therapy services now available at Howard Head Sports Medicine—the official physical therapy provider for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Olympic team— include Active Release Technique, Aquatic Therapy, Hand Therapy, Manual Therapy, Oncology Therapy, Post-Operative Therapy, Return-to-Sports Therapy, Trigger Point Dry Needling, Women’s Health, Workers’ Compensation Injuries and other treatments.
“Colorado is a direct-access state, which makes it very easy for resort guests to see a physical therapist without a prescription from their doctor,” stated Todd Ward, clinic director at Howard Head Sports Medicine at The Westin Riverfront. “Many people who come to the Vail Valley to enjoy our multitude of outdoor activities unfortunately may feel a little 'tweak' or 'twinge.' Those staying at The Westin Riverfront are able to call down from their room and be seen by an expert in sports medicine at Howard Head.”
The 230-room resort also is home to Spa Anjali and the Athletic Club at The Westin, which features a yoga studio, a cycling studio, a pilates studio with four Reformers, fitness center and a saline-based outdoor pool.
