LONDON—Abama Golf & Spa Resort—which has been managed by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company since 2007 and is located on Guía de Isora coast of Tenerife, Spain—has been renamed The Ritz-Carlton, Abama.
The resort will undergo renovations in its guestrooms and suites. Later this year, the signature Ritz-Carlton Club services will also be renovated. The Ritz-Carlton Club will be located on the 10th floor, with an outdoor terrace and views of the golf course and Teide Mountain.
The “Ritz Kids” will be launched at the resort this summer. Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society developed the menu of activities, providing interactive learning experiences based on the four pillars of Land, Water, Culture and Environment. Activities are now available for children between the ages of four and 12 daily at the resort.
In addition, the hotel’s team will continue efforts to contribute to the local community via “Succeed Through Service,” an initiative that is part of The Ritz-Carlton Community Footprints, an environmental and social responsibility platform. The hotel’s team are involved in the skills-based mentoring program through a partnership with a local school.
“This resort embodies our company culture, commitment to our guests and focus on service excellence. The current ladies and gentlemen at the resort will continue to provide our guests with the personalized and anticipatory service for which we are known,” said Bob Kharazmi, global officer, worldwide operations, The Ritz-Carlton. “We are proud that this beautiful resort will now be clearly recognized as part of our branded portfolio and that our guests will soon be able to enjoy additional signature services of The Ritz-Carlton at this property.”
