MINNEAPOLIS—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. expanded the footprint of its Sheraton brand with the opening of the Sheraton Bloomington.
The hotel, which is owned by WB Hotel Partners, LLC, and managed by Wischermann Partners, Inc., is the conversion of a former Sofitel and has begun a comprehensive $8 million renovation. The 282-room property is located five miles from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
"The strategic conversion in the upscale Minneapolis suburb of Bloomington gives Sheraton an even greater presence in one of the nation's busiest metropolitan areas, as we continue to build momentum in markets worldwide," stated Hoyt Harper, Global Brand Leader, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts.
