PORTO ALEGRE, BRAZIL—Radisson has signed the Radisson Porto Alegre, Brazil, which has an expected opening of Oct. 31, 2013.
A multi-million dollar renovation is planned for the 132-room designer hotel.
It is located less than ten minutes from downtown and near landmarks such as the Brick da Redenção, historic downtown, Ibere Camargo Foundation and Shopping Iguatemi.
The hotel features a business center, 24-hour room service, a full-service salon, laundry service and messenger service.
Becco’s, the hotel’s restaurant, features regional and international cuisine, along with ala carte dining and buffet style service.
This marks the seventh Radisson in Brazil, with additional properties joining the portfolio by first quarter 2014. In addition to Porto Alegre, Radisson also has properties in Sao Paulo; Alphaville; Curitiba; Maceio; Aracaju; and Belem.
“Investing in Brazil requires patience and strong local connectivity. Through our strategic partnership with Atlantica Hotels International, we have a strong foothold in key markets in the country and for positioning Radisson as a powerful, globally consistent, first-class brand,” stated Javier Rosenberg, COO, Radisson, Americas.
