DULLES, VA—PM Hospitality Strategies, Inc. completed a “Project Grow” lobby for the 135-room Hilton Garden Inn Dulles North.
Owned by Wella Investments, Inc. and Operated by PM Hospitality Services (PMHS) the brand's signature "Project Grow" renovation focused primarily on FF&E with minimal structural change. The lobby redesign incorporated tailored design colors, patterns and finishes with a more open flow to promote guest socialization and interaction in the hotel’s Garden Pavilion. Cabana draperies and signature pendant lighting and lanterns, coupled with interior plantings and a garden cart featuring the hotel's food and beverage offerings are featured. Communal breakfast and bar tables give guests a place to gather and signature artwork is on display in the lobby.
“Today’s travelers, particularly Millennials, desire a more communal lobby experience where they can get out of their rooms, stretch their legs in a relaxed environment and interact with one another,” stated Joseph Bojanowski, president of PMHS. “The Hilton Garden Inn Dulles North’s new ‘Project Grow’ lobby accomplishes those goals."
The Hilton Garden Inn Dulles North is located near Dulles International Airport just off the Dulles Toll Road in northern Virginia. The hotel offers a complimentary airport shuttle and is proximate to tech corporations such as Airbus, SAIC and Verizon. The Hilton Garden Inn also provides a complimentary 24-hour business center and complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel. The Great American Grill delivers cooked-to-order breakfast, while the Pavilion Lounge is equipped with a fully stocked bar. Guestrooms come with in-room refrigerator and microwave.
The hotel also provides the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry, a fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub, and meeting space to accommodate up to 150 person, the company said, as well as access to the Toronto International Airport, boutique shops, restaurants, golf courses, Greenwood Conservation Area, OLG Slots Ajax, Toronto Zoo and the Ontario Science Center.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China. In what could only be seen as good news for the industry, that expectation moved a little closer to reality when President Obama signed a visa waiver extension for Chinese travelers earlier this month.
