CHICAGO—The Godfrey Hotel Chicago developed by Oxford Capital Group LLC, in a joint venture with Quadrum Group, and managed by Oxford Hotels & Resorts, LLC, has opened.
The 16-story, 221-key hotel in the River North neighborhood features a cubist-influenced, staggered truss design and a marble-clad, elliptical hotel lobby.
“Our first guests and Chicagoans alike gave us a warm welcome over the opening weekend,” Oxford’s SVP/Operations and Area Manager George Jordan stated, “We hope to provide a destination that allows guests to bring our tagline of ‘Discover Your Element’ to life.”
In addition to being walking distance from a number of restaurants, shopping destinations, art galleries and other attractions, The Godfrey Hotel Chicago offers a 15,000 sq. ft. indoor/outdoor lounge and meeting space.
The hotel is the first of several planned hotels. The Godfrey Hotel Boston is under development and scheduled to open in 2015.
Oxford is actively pursuing additional Godfrey Hotel opportunities in key major metro markets around the country.
The Godfrey Hotel Chicago is a hotel project from Oxford 127 Huron Hotel Venture Property Company, LLC, an Oxford Capital Group, LLC-led venture with Quadrum Group, an international real estate investment firm.
