New Holiday Inn Express Opens in Rio Branco, Brazil

MIAMI—InterContinental Hotels Group has opened the Holiday Inn Express Rio Branco hotel in Brazil.
The 110-room hotel is owned by Inter Oceanica Hotelaria Ltda and is franchised by an affiliate of IHG. The nine-story hotel boasts four meeting rooms, and an outdoor pool and bar. It is located a short distance from Rio Branco-Placido de Castro International Airport.
"IHG properties have thrived In Brazil since 1946, and it is exciting to have another opportunity to open a Holiday Inn Express hotel in a new city," stated Alvaro Diago, COO, Latin America and Caribbean, IHG.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
