SHELTON, CT—New Castle Hotels & Resorts promoted Rachel Alcaro to senior sales manager at the Residence Inn/Courtyard by Marriott Syracuse Downtown at Armory Square, NY, and named Bernadette Donohue director sales at the Craftsman Inn and Conference Center in Fayetteville, NY.
Alcaro previously was director of sales at the 90-room Craftsman Inn and Conference Center. Prior to that, Alcaro was a convention sales manager for the Syracuse Convention and Visitors Bureau.
"Rachel's familiarity with the Syracuse market will make her a terrific addition to the team at the Residence Inn/Courtyard on Armory Square," stated Gerry Chase, New Castle's president/COO. "She's done a great job leveraging the unique qualities of the Craftsman and has earned the opportunity to maximize the tremendous assets of this new, dual-brand, downtown hotel."
Donohue is a 20-year veteran of the hospitality and meetings business, having most recently worked as a senior conference specialist at the University of Tennessee and as a regional sales manager for La Quinta Inns in southern California.
"Bernadette is returning to New York with skills and experience acquired all across the country," added Chase. "She'll bring a fresh pair of eyes to a hotel that's certain to be very valuable for a one-of-a-kind hotel like the Craftsman."
The Craftsman Inn and Conference Center and the Residence Inn/Courtyard by Marriott Syracuse Downtown at Armory Square are operated by New Castle Hotels & Resorts.
