EVIAN, FRANCE—Industry veteran Laurent Roussin this month will take over the helms as general manager of the Five-Star Hôtel Royal at Evian Resort here, which is currently undergoing renovation.
Roussin has extensive experience in the luxury hotel industry, gained during almost 20 years working at the most prestigious hotels in the Lucien Barrière Group in Deauville, France.
The Hôtel Royal closed its doors last November for a total renovation with reopening of the hotel planned for early July. Its aim is to be a "nature palace," a unique positioning in the world of large luxury hotels. Roussin will focus efforts on preparing staff at the Royal for resuming operations this summer.
