ATLANTA—InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a deal to open the Hotel Indigo Downtown Atlanta here.
The hotel will be the brand's third property in the metro area and will occupy eight floors of a building first developed 50 years ago by John Portman, Jr. The hotel, which is owned by Portman 230, LLC, and will be franchised by an affiliate of IHG, is expected to open in the fall of 2015.
"Portman is delighted to partner with IHG in creating an exciting and distinct Hotel Indigo hotel in such a prime location," stated Portman Holdings CEO Ambrish Baisiwala. "We have a long history of developing unique hotels, and look forward to continuing this work in partnership with IHG."
