Hyatt Announces a Third Hyatt-Branded Hotel in Colombia

SANTIAGO DA CALI, COLOMBIA--Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Fideicomiso FAFP-Promover-Hotel Cali- Fiduciaria del País S.A. for a Hyatt Regency hotel located here.
This agreement marks the third Hyatt-branded hotel under development in Colombia, joining Grand Hyatt Bogota and Hyatt Regency Cartagena, which are both slated to open in 2016.
“Cali represents an important destination for a Hyatt Regency hotel because it is a Colombia’s second largest city and a gateway to Latin America,” stated Pat McCudden, SVP, real estate and development – Latin America and Caribbean for Hyatt. “Expanding Hyatt’s brand presence in Colombia is a critical component of our growth strategy for Latin American and the Caribbean destinations, and reaffirms Hyatt’s commitment to becoming the most preferred brand among business and leisure travelers in the region.”
Scheduled to open in 2016, Hyatt Regency Cali will be situated in northwestern Cali, adjacent to Chipichape Mall, the city’s largest shopping center. The 218-room full service hotel will feature a restaurant and bar, meeting and banquet facilities totaling nearly 15,000 square feet, a spa and fitness center, and an indoor pool.
