ATLANTA—Atlanta-based Hotel Equities recently promoted Bert Haifley to general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott at the Mall of Georgia, north of Atlanta.
Haifley previously served as Task Force Manager across a number of brands in the firm’s portfolio.
He now has responsibility for the overall operation of the hotel.
Earlier this year, Haifley came to Hotel Equities from the Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Buckhead where he held the GM position for Interstate Hotels.
He began his hospitality career with John Q. Hammons Hotels at the Holiday Inn North in Springfield, MO, as the assistant GM and director of Food and Beverage. In his 17 years with the firm, he held several posts including Opening GM at the Courtyard Fort Smith, AR, and, later, at the Residence Inn Joplin, MO. In 2012, he moved to metro Atlanta as the GM for the Courtyard by Marriott Decatur for Noble Investment Group.
