Hilton Adds The Highland Dallas to Curio Brand

MCLEAN, VA—Hilton Worldwide has introduced The Highland Dallas, located in Dallas, TX, to Curio – A Collection by Hilton, its newest brand, comprised of international four- and five-star hotels, according to the company.
The Highland Dallas opened in the 1960s as the nine-story “Hilton Inn,” known for its “tiki room,” a former Trader Vic’s Polynesian bar-restaurant.
“It’s fitting that one of the first hotels to join Curio is a former Hilton property—while it returns to the Hilton portfolio, it will retain the unique identity it has developed over the past several decades,” stated Dianna Vaughan, global head, Curio – A Collection by Hilton.
The property joined Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio following a change of ownership of The Hotel Palomar Dallas on August 6. Existing Hotel Palomar Dallas reservations remain intact at The Highland Dallas, and current and future guests can use and redeem Hilton HHonors points immediately.
The hotel’s new restaurant, Knife, a modern steakhouse and bar from Chef John Tesar, will remain at The Highland Dallas, as well as hotel spa Exhale, which offers spa and nail treatments, yoga and core fusion classes and the 24-hr., on-site fitness facility with cardio, core, weight and endurance equipment.
Additional amenities include a heated outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, cabanas and pool bar, as well as five complimentary bicycles to take out and sea the area.
The property features two presidential suites on its top two floors and more than 9,000 sq. ft. of meeting space spanning eight meeting rooms, including the Opus Grand Ballroom.
