CLEVELAND—Greenwood Hospitality Group will manage the Metropolitan Hotel, which is scheduled to open in August of 2014 and will part of Marriott's Autograph Collection.
The hotel is the centerpiece in the GEIS Companies' The 9, an urban mixed-use project in downtown Cleveland. The Metropolitan will occupy the former AmeriTrust tower and historic Cleveland Trust Rotunda and will include 156 guest rooms, with some as large as 650 sq. ft.
The 9 will include 105 spacious luxury urban apartments, a theater that features live entertainment, film screenings, 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and a Heinen's grocery store and marketplace.
GEIS Companies has expanded its services by creating GEIS Hospitality Group, which will work in partnership with Greenwood Hospitality Group.
