ROSEMONT, IL—First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG), based here, will be converting the historic Leveque Tower building in downtown Columbus, OH, into an Autograph Collection hotel through a JV partnership with Robert J. Meyers and Don M. Castro. It is scheduled to open in early 2015.
The 47-story, 155-key property will be FHG’s first Autograph Collection hotel. FHG has also completed a few other adaptive reuse hotel conversion projects in the Midwest, including the Loyalty building in Milwaukee, WI, which is now a Hilton Garden Inn; the Liberty Building in Des Moines, IA, now a Hyatt Place; and the Federal Building in Omaha, NE, which is now a Residence Inn by Marriott.
Bob Meyers and Don Castro have partnered together on several other properties in Columbus, including the NiSource Building, 250 Civic Center and 200 Civic Center.
