Autograph Reaches 50-Property Milestone With Costa Rica Resort

COSTA RICA—Marriott International has added the Hotel Punta Islita here to its Autograph Collection, enabling the portfolio of independent hotels to reach the 50-property milestone.
Hotel Punta Islita, which consists of 57 guestrooms and includes 85 acres along the Nicoya Peninsula, is the first hotel to join the Autograph Collection in Central America.
The property is owned and operated by Grupo Islita.
"To reach 50 hotels in less than three years is a testament to the vibrancy and success of Autograph Collection as an innovative business venture," stated Marriott International CEO Arne Sorenson. "Through championing independence and welcoming extraordinary hotel experiences like Hotel Punta Islita, Autograph remains one of the fastest growing independent hotel collections in the industry."
